Carlo Acutis: A Young Catholic's Journey to Sainthood

Early Life and Devotion

Carlo Acutis was born in London on May 3, 1991, to Italian parents. From a young age, he displayed a strong faith and devotion to the Catholic Church. He was particularly drawn to the Eucharist, frequently receiving communion and spending time in adoration.

Eucharistic Miracles

Inspired by his love for the Eucharist, Acutis embarked on a mission to document and promote awareness of Eucharistic miracles. He created a website, www.therealpresence.org, which showcased over 100 documented cases of real miracles associated with the consecrated host.

Witness to Faith

Despite his youth, Acutis became a powerful witness to the transformative power of faith. He used his knowledge of technology to share his love for God and the Catholic Church with others. His passion for evangelization inspired countless young people around the world.

Posthumous Recognition

Tragically, Acutis passed away from leukemia on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. His life and witness left an indelible mark on the Catholic community, leading to his cause for canonization being opened. In 2020, he was declared Venerable by Pope Francis, a major step towards becoming a saint.
